It has been some kind of crazy around here since school started. You too? Thank goodness. Between a new work schedule, other obligations, and trying to find a routine has left us all a little nutty.
And then I realized I wasn’t praying over my home, my kids, and my husband. Starting next week, I will be bringing you a calander of prayers to pray over your child and your husband, plus prayer cards you can print and stuff in your purse or tuck into your wallet.
I WANT to pray more often and more intentionally for my kids & my husband, but I usually do one of two things:
1. I fall off the wagon and just throw out a couple random prayers throughout the day.
2. I get in a rut and pray the same things over and over every day – without getting specific or taking the time to listen or really seeing what is my chid is struggling with.
In the meantime, here are a few verses I came across about prayer
John 14:13-14 tweet
“And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. tweet
1 John 5:14-15 tweet
And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. tweet
James 4:3 tweet
You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. tweet

Matthew 6:5-12 tweet
“And when you pray, you are not to be as the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. “But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you. “And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him. “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. ‘Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. ‘Give us this day our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. tweet
Prayer Bible Verses- Jesus as an Example tweet
Luke 6:12 tweet
And it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God. tweet
Bible Verses About Prayer- When to Pray tweet
James 5:13-15 tweet
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Deep, meaningful, passionate prayer for my children is something I desperately want.
So next week, you and I are going take time outs to begin praying intentionally! Are you with me? If so leave a comment and share!
